Really Watch Me Stamp by Adreos Really Watch Me Stamp by Adreos
Ever get tired of people who :+devwatch: just to get a watch back. They don't ever give you a second glance.

I know I'm tired of that

Thank you to all of you who watch me and ACTUALLY watch me (views are a good thing). Bigger thanks still to those who give feedback of some kind. (:+fav: counts)

You are free to use this stamp here on deviantART.

Made in Adobe Imageready
Stamp =Adreos

Edit - Ok, I don't know why I made this. Was half asleep last night when I made it.

Edit - 12/17/2013 - With this stamp increasing in popularity I have updated it to be more streamlined with most stamps, proper dimensions an all that. The original can be found here Really Watch Me Stamp -ORIGINAL- by Adreos

I agree. I only watch the people who actually make an effort to talk to me and go through my art. If they don't and just watch just to watch then no.

I watch artists on here to see what new art they post. Not to be some sort of viewmonger.

Any Deviant artist can simply favorite as much art as they can, but to comment on every upload can be a difficult task— it varies with the number of how many artists they are watching, the time spend to brainstorm, type, and proofread the comment. Some might even pass yours and leave a fave behind, almost like dine and dash. I always believe that they either never has enough time to type on your art, or even at all. Some would do the one-word comment, but that is not genuine. While they forget yours they might move on with the other artists that are watching.

Or maybe some artists see their favorite fan art character on your gallery and notice more of their favorite fan art, so they watch you for more. But you keep on drawing your art like normal, and after uploading a few new pieces you seem to notice that your watchers’ grow less interested. Remember what I mentioned? Sometimes watch you solely for the fan-art you drew (pretentious bastards is what I call them). But I do believe they are not being true to themselves when one watches a gallery.

While they don’t have the time or doesn't please their needs, I try not to care if they are there watching my art anymore.

Remember, never get discouraged if nobody is watching you.

I have to agree with you. When I stopped making fan art like I use to, my watchers decreased. Didn't phase me, never has. There are still people who enjoy what I do and that is all I need.

But back when I made this, I was getting a large number of people saying "I'm watching you. Why aren't you watching me?" Its something I can never agree with.

What I did when people started to do that was I stopped caring. I stopped caring for those who weren't loyal to me. However, those who remain being my friend, and are loyal, I pay most attention to them. But for me, it's only one now.

EXACTLY! I Only have like freaking 3 or 4 watchers....scratch that, I have ONE watcher who has been supporting me with every every picture I have out. And only like, 100 others who don't do crap!! I've began un-watching the dead weights, cause they serve me no purpose. NONE of them even keep up with me! And heck, I've even unwatched people so I would not feel like someone who isn't watching their work. I'm just honest. I don't have the time in the world to watch everything you put out. Therefore, I wont tease you into thinking I AM. It is not like I dislike the art, it is that I watch TO MANY PEOPLE~ lol So I'm cutting that out, and ONLY watching those I TRULY watch and keep up with. (Which realistically is about 20- people)

Who honestly gives a flying shit? So they are a ghost watcher, woo hoo. I have what, 500 watchers? I get some comments, most from close friends. Be proud of the ones who do comment.

Well...I apparently do since I decided to make a little rant about it >_>. I totally value the ones who do comment, but in reality, you wouldn't waste your time subscribing to a magazine that you didn't read.  No arguments from me though, whatever floats your boat regarding watchers. That's just how I feel :shrug:

I couldn't agree more.

And those times when they watch me, but actually don't watch for ANY OF MY ART, that's just messed up.
If you're not going to watch me, I won't feel bad, the only thing that will make me feel bad is if you watch me for nothing.

Yea, this is something I admit I'm starting to get really annoyed about.

I mean, I love having watchers, but I don't want watchers just so they'll expect me to watch them. I don't work that way.

Ugh, I REALLY hate that! Some are even so rude as to ignore you after a period of time. I'm like, What the heck?!

Seriously, why do they even bother if they're not to actually going to try to keep in contact with you and give you honest feedback about your work?

Ugh, I'm so tired of this. I'm tired of watchers who leave so little feedback on my work. How else am I supposed to improve as an artist if they don't tell me what looks good and what looks bad? I recently did a active watcher poll and found out that out of my 50 watchers, only about 4 are active. :( I enjoy leaving comments because they are so much more personal than faving and running. I like leaving my input and telling the artist what looks good or what needs improving. :nod: Going to use this once I set up my I.D. :D

I know exactly how you feel! Completely! I've recently un-watched about 40 or so of my "watchers" because I'm sure they aren't really watching me. I get absolutely no feedback from them, and I refuse to go through hundreds of their galleries if they don't pay a single visit to mine. I comment frequently, not just to get comments back (I actually do like commenting), but when it's totally one-way it does get really frustrating :(

Artists are so happy and thankful that I leave them comments, and I'm like dude but u never do the same haha, sometimes I literally ask these people hey, mind leaving a comment for me sometime lol? I don't like doing that because then it's not genuine, those comments weren't from their own free will :( but then I think well then y did they watch me? *sigh*

Only about 10 or so people from my entire list of watchers are active. They consistently comment, fav, support me, and just in general provide feedback that I can use to see how I am progressing as a traditional artist :)

It really sucks doesn't it? What are people even thinking?? I've done the same. And I just wish all the people who are "pretending" to watch me, will unwatch me. Ah yeah that is really annoying huh?

I've done the same with a few people myself, leaving a comment, and they're so grateful, I ask if they wouldn't mind doing the same. They say "sure!" but never do. I don't do that so much anymore. What's the use? What really bugs me is I leave a beautiful long comment, and they DON'T EVEN REPLY BACK! ;w;

With the free premium membership day, I found out of the 100+ watchers I have only about 12 active ones by using that poll. So I guess we're in the same boat aye? XD Would you like to do a watch each other? I'll at least be more active than those "fake" watchers of yours XD And I love to leave comments as well! :dummy:

You've made an excellent point, re: Friendship and its various meanins, on this [link] I think that the meaning of 'friend' has been lost -- along with love, companionship and compassion -- nobody seems to practice any of these things, nowadays!! :nuu:

I'm so glad I'm not the only person to have noticed this disgusting trend...

Thanks for mentioning this, in your journal entry. :thanks:

At least, if you know them in real time, as well as on :facebook:; you know that they can be trusted! Also, that they're not looking to be 'friend-zoned' by anyone, anywhere, anytime!! :thumbsup:
