Ashura is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with 6 long spines on his head and two shorter ones on his back. He is a bright green
in coloration, although the area around his forehead is black in coloration. His eyes are bright red. His muzzle, belly, and arms are a tanish peach color.
He wears white gloves with red wrists, red socks, and blue shoes with a red stripe on the bottom.

History
Fifty years prior to Sonic and Eggman's classic battles the black comet passed by Mobious. DNA from the black arms aliens was collected, and used to create the Ultimate Life form, Shadow the Hedgehog.
More blood from the aliens was taken then what was needed however. The extra blood was put into vacuum storage aboard the ARK. Shortly afterwards the ARK was shut down.

Ten years ago a major event happened in the power struggles between Eggman and Sonic, Eggman died. Shortly before that event Eggman had created a revolutionary cloning system, named Project Genesis. Fifty years after his death Gun Research Group Division 4 would stumble across the remains of this technology and study it.

One hundred and seventy years in the future the ARK has been scheduled for demolition. It is now old and decrepit, falling apart at the seems. However before it is demolished a thorough search is being conducted to ensure that no valuable research is lost. During the search the old Black Arms blood that had been stored was found.
The military quickly decided that another experiment would condense. The goal would be to create another ultimate life form. However, unlike the first time in which a life form was created to be the ultimate in using chaos power, this time the goal was to make a life form that would be the ultimate in storing chaos power.

For two years experimenting proceeded, setting up the DNA of the life form and infusing it with power from the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald itself. Finally, after much frustrating and error they succeeding in creating a single cell of the new life form. How Professor Gerald had managed the task with Shadow had been lost with him. But a single cell was not enough, G.U.N. researchers wanted a fully grown life form.
That was when the old Project Genesis was suggested. Project Genesis took that single cell and rapidly duplicated it over and over, slowly building the life from up.

Shadow was there, right by the capsule the whole time. He knew that inside was someone who shared his way of creation, the same blood running through his veins, his first, last, and only brother. Project Genesis took several hours to do its work. And for each of those hours Shadow stayed by the capsule, awaiting the arrival of what lied within.
When the capsule finally opened a green hedgehog stepped out. Shadow and this new hedgehog stared at each other for a brief time before Shadow broke the silence with "Ashura, brother." And it was then that a powerful bond was formed.. Two brothers, both artificial creations, both unnatural beings, both born from Black Dooms blood, both of their lives tied to chaos.

Ashura quickly proved himself capable of many things, and also proved that the energy of the Chaos indeed surged through him. The experiment used to create him had proven a complete success. Ashura had only one drawback, every now and again he would suffer from sever headaches. No one exactly knew why this happened, nor did any amount of research help to solve this mystery. Everyone avoided Ashura during the times of his headaches, as it was at these times that his output of Chaos energy increased.

Shadow however, stayed close to his brother at these times, his only companion. It was during these times a deep hatred for the world began to build in his heart. After years he finally told his brother this hatred, the need to pay the world back for the cold uncaring treatment they were giving him. "Let it go," Shadow had told him, "Let it go brother. At one point I too hated the world and sought its destruction. I learned however there is more to these people then what they may seem. They're joy, their caring, its all there. And its all worth preserving.
Its not that they don't care about you, its that they fear you. I have learned to live with this. When they do not understand something, something more powerful then they are they begin to fear it. You and I brother, we are both the end of projects to create an ultimate life form. Our power is far beyond them, and so they fear it. However when you get close to them, truly get to know them, you will find that humans are good, and sympathetic to one in suffering. I'm sure once they conquer their fear they will be ready to help you in your troubled times."

But as the years and decades passed, no one would warm up to Ashura. All the time, his headaches grew in intensity. It was discovered that the Chaos energy flowing through Ashura was the cause. The power had been growing, expanding to the point where Ashura was fully a living Chaos Emerald now. This energy however, also was eating away at Ashura's mind, causing him great pain. The power of Chaos was never meant to stay with a living creature for this long. As Ashura's power rose, so did the intensity of his headaches. Sometimes after a spectacular
discharge of energy during these events he'd pass out. All the while Shadow stayed by his side. Shadow would not abandon his brother.

And then it happened

During his thirtieth year Ashura was in the middle of Station Square. He felt another one of his headaches approaching, and so Ashura ducked into a back alley. He decided to wait here until it passed, these spells never lasted more then ten minutes. And as he would be giving off Chaos energy his brother would soon arrive to help him through this. People on the nearby streets walked by, completely oblivious to what was happening to him. Once more that dark hatred came forth.
Then a group of youngsters, no older then fifteen spotted him in the ally. They walked over to him.
"Look, here's that freak!" one said.
"In pain again, how pathetic can one get?" asked another.
"He's worthless," another said and kicked Ashura.
Then something snapped in his head. Rage overwhelmed Ashura, bubbling up like bubbles in a hot spring. Ashura barely registered his brother's voice saying, "Troublemakers, get away from my brother!" It was then that his own power lifted him into the air. Shadow begun to speak, but what he had intended to say was never heard. A huge blast of power erupted from Ashura. It spread quickly, destroying everything it touched. Within seconds it had completely engulfed station square.

After the energy died down and the blast faded, all that was left of Station Square was a crater. Everyone and everything was gone. Ashura stood at the center of the crater, his brother's body lying next to him. Ashura, dazed and in shock, picked up his brother's body. Then on the top of a hill Ashura blasted the earth out in the shape of grave, his power still agitated from the blast. As Ashura placed his brother's body in the hole and begun to bury it Ashura said, "I'm sorry brother, but I have no words for you. You've been lying to me my whole life.
They never cared, and they never will. They have and always will be oblivious to my suffering. And now they've cost me my brother, the only one who ever cared about me. I swear the people of this world will pay."
Then, after placing a gravestone, Ashura walked away. Unknown to him he had been overheard by Blaze, who decided to do what she could to stop his insane plan. She quietly and slowly followed him.
For the next six years no one heard from Ashura, there were no more random discharges of power. It was generally assumed he was dead. But such was not the case. He was planning, learning all he needed to know from and texts written in stone. All this time Ashura was watched secretly by Blaze.

Six years after Station Square fell, Ashura resurfaced. A glint of insanity now was in his eyes. He had stored up his power for six years, and was ready to make his move. Ashura stood over his brother's grave and said, "I never was as good at this as you were, but thank you brother for teaching me. Now I will avenge you, and I will have my revenge on this world."
Ashura concentrated heavily, and through the use of a supercharged Chaos Control he created a rift in time itself. As he prepared to depart Blaze finally revealed herself, saying, "Ashura STOP! You must not do this!"
Ashura turned, "Blaze? What do you want?"
Blaze replied, "I have been watching you these six years, you must not go through with this plan of yours. Would your brother want this?"
Ashura sent a blast of chaos at blaze, knocking her over, "If you've been watching me then you know this already. Nothing will stop me. It matters not what my brother would want, only what I want. You will not stop me!"
With that Ashura jumped through the time portal. Blaze quickly picked herself up and followed through. The portal closed, leaving on the rustling tree leaves and grass behind with Shadow's grave.

Other
Ashura weighs a lot more then he should for his size. This is owed to his extra dense skin and bones.

As a living Chaos Emerald Ashura has access to a huge amount of Chaos power. He can utilize this power in the same way Shadow can, with his own moves to boot. But he needs more power then his brother to achieve the same results. Thus saying his effeciency with chaos energy isn't as great.

Ashura has what could be called a super form of a kind. It not an actual transformation as it is achieveing a more powered up state. After building up a chaos charge for three weeks, or using the emeralds themselves as a catalyst Ashura can enter a state known as Infinite Chaos. In this state Ashura has access to a limitless supply of energy, although the form only lasts for ten minutes. When he changes back all his build up chaos energy is drained and he passes out.

Geeze, that was a lot of typing. Yet another profile down. I tried to figure out a good pose for the profile pic.

Ashura originally was the glitch character from Sonic 2, and this is my version of him. Yes its a simple recolor. Don't like it? Tough.
